The 6 metre Navy Oceanographic Meteorological Automatic Device (NOMADâ„¢) hull was originally designed NOMAD open water marine buoy in the 1940's for the U.S. Navy's offshore data collection program.
The large, robust buoy was specifically designed for long-term deployments in open oceans and in the largest of the world's lakes. It is the ideal platform for data collection/navigation in extreme marine weather conditions.
The NOMADâ„¢'s generous hull capacity offers the capability to host virtually any marine sensing equipment plus allow stable access to the large deck platform offering a safe working environment for a number of service crew
